(OOC: Sorry, can't come up with any good titles today) The snow had covered the ground - totally took control! It surprised her, but she was able to move over the ground with ease, ears perked forward and yellow eyes scanned the terrian. It was beautiful, the female looked around slowly, body quivering a bit before she shook herself off, for snow was starting to slowly fall again, making her groan. Great. It seemed it would never stop and it was such an annoying thing to her, but what could she do? It mostly snowed up here to begin with, right? The wolf yawned a bit as she started to trot down the path she'd been wandering the last couple of weeks. Here she was able to grab a few birds, a few rabbits and a mouse or two, but that was about it - nothing too filling for one wolf. Dakota's muscles flexed underneath her dark brown colored pelt, just sniffing along the trails she had been doing lately. Hopefully there will be something good, something better! Oh, winter, please be something good then be another heartbreak today? The female yawned once more, but she kept her nose close to the ground, tail low - waving back and forth slowly, hoping a new scent or form becomes noticeable. That was one time she wished to meet someone, usually, she would divert herself from other beings, unless if she'd be insulted or made fun of, she would take them on for a fight.

Regret poked her head through the hole of the den she had made for herself that would last her one night, one night only. The den was small, just the right size for her body. Regret sniffed the morning air, it was definitely time for her to get up and move. Regret slowly climbed out of her den, stopping once her whole body was out to stretch. She was well rested and fully ready to journey farther in the direction she had been traveling in for days.
Regret was hungry but she would wait to hunt till the right moment came across. Regret moved quickly through the winter land, not feeling lost even though you could say she was. She stuck mostly to dense areas where she would be less likely spotted out.
Regret knew how to stay hidden, that was one of her talents. She was traveling alone, her breath and the sun the only source of warmth. The sounds of snow falling quickly off of nearby trees, and animals scurrying through the forest were some of the many sounds Regret's ears came across. Regret got caught up in her thoughts a lot, but still she always used cautioun during her adventures.
Regret thought she was alone, but she could often be mistaken. One deep sniff of the air led Regret to believe that she was not the only wolf venturing this land today. Regret leaped behind a few trees as she heard the muffled sounds of paws beating rhythmically against the terrain. Who could this wolf be? Is it a pack? No not a pack. Regret asked herself questions in her head, if this wolf was stronger than her then she was in big trouble. The sounds of this new comer became more clear as time quickly passed. Regret got ready to fight, she crouched down in her hunters' position and waited for the right moment to strike.

It wasn't long before the sound of paw steps reached the female's ears. Her heart beat rapidly as she sniffed the musky mountain air, she raised her head upward to smell the faint odor of a female wolf. Forgetting about the loneliness she felt a minute ago, one thing came to her mind the second she caught a whiff of a wolf. 'FIGHT' Her muscles tensed as she walked slowly, hardly making a sound, she held her head low, her lighting yellow eyes flashing back and forth, scanning the surrounding earth for the wolf. She continued creeping forward, one paw in front of the other she made it into a large bush that covered her from sight. Her long black legs froze in place as she spotted the female, her eyes locked on the crouched creature, her eyes being almost the only thing that could be seen of her. She observed the female's pelt, opposite of her's the her coat was completely white! Confused by the odd coloration, she cocked her head, she had never seen such a bright color on a wolf in her life. She shook her head to get the thought out of her mind, and crept a few steps forward then stopped when she knew she was completely visible to the female. Before letting the thought of shedding blood slip past her sharp teeth, another thing fell out of her muzzle as she spoke. "Hello there." She lifted her head and stood up to her full height and looked down at the female. Realizing what she had said, she decided to be a little more cautious. "Who are you?"

Regret's ears twitched as she knew the wolf was among her. She got ready for the worst thing that could happen; a fight to the death. Regret couldn't help but let out a low growl as the female wolf approached her. The female wolf didn't look like she wanted to fight, so Regret did her best to loosen up a bit. Regret heard the female speak. "I am nothing but a loner... A loner named Regret." Regret smirked "What is a wolf like you doing out here?" Regret asked these things as politely as possible, even though the easier thing would have been to attack her unexpected guest.
Regret straightened herself up to full height, she was still ready to fight under any condition. Regret heard the pitter-patter of a rabbit family who had the nerve to hop by the two female wolves. Instinctively Regret pounced on top of one rabbit, killing it with an easy slash of her claw. Regret ate the rabbit quickly. Was it rude to eat infront of her guest? If it was she could care less. Regret expected that the other female wolf probably caught a rabbit of her own. It was early and not many animals had eaten breakfast yet.

She let out a short growl as she heard the female do the same, it made her want to pounce and rip her apart, but she let the small loving and caring part of her soul take over. She still eyed her warily, unsure of if she should trust her yet. Her ears poked forward as she listened intently to the female speak, a cold wind flew by the two, she tried to huddle into her chocolate pelt. As she pulled her ears back to keep them warm, she didn't much catch what the female answered, but she did manage to catch her name. 'REGRET' As the brisk breeze passed, she shook off her coat, her ears flickered up as she heard the sound of little paws slap the ground. She turned her head quickly, her bottom jaw almost dropped, she hadn't eaten in 2 moons, so she felt like she could eat anything, even her lest favorite food, rabbits. She lifted one paw to get one of them, but stopped as the white female snatched one rapidly and ate it. Still hungry, she ignored her and reached out her head to grab one with her long muzzle, without even setting it on the ground, she horked it down. Her big pink tongue reached out of her mouth to lick her lips to taste the coppery taste of dry blood. She looked back at the female, "That was an easy meal huh." She commented, then lifted her back left paw to scratch her ear. "And by the way, my name's Dakota." She didn't know what came over her, how could she be so friendly to this cocky female? She tried not to think of that anymore an to stick to the moment.

Regret licked her lips as blood had splattered over them from her kill. The delicious taste of fresh blood warmed her body. "Yea, rabbits aren't too hard to catch." Regret said nicely to the female's comment. "Nice to meet you Dakota!" Regret was now relaxed, she knew that Dakota wouldn't hurt her. "So where are you from?" Regret knew wolves from all over the world. Regret has traveled just about everywhere, atleast that's what it felt like to her. A strong gust of wind sent a long lasting shiver through Regret. Regret wondered if it would be too cold for her to travel today. Almost all animals were hiding out today which meant there was a storm coming. Regret stuck her nose up towards the sky and sniffed. She could feel a storm coming; a blizzard. "Do you feel that?" Regret asked Dakota. Regret had been through so many blizzards in her lifetime and she hated them. Now she would have to go through the hustle bustle of making a shelter for the day. Regret wasn't quiet sure where to build a shelter on these mountains. Maybe there was a cave somewhere nearby? Just as Regret was thinking these things the first flakes of the deadly storm began to fall.

A slight smile formed on Dakota's muzzle as Regret spoke, which was very rare for her, most of the time, she would have on a serious face, and a very intense gaze. Today was different, was meeting new wolves always this enjoyable? Maybe lack of sociability was the reason she was so snappy and down most of the time. Whatever the matter, she liked this wolf, maybe they could even become friends. Dakota had never had wolf friends, mainly due to the reason she was so closed out to others. She nodded in thanks, "Nice to meet ya too Regret." Dakota answered, trying to act as corky and fun as possible. Her tail started to wave slowly as the two conversed. "Me? I'm from nowhere, just a loner who wanders across the earth." Dakota hated to tell of her past, or anything that had to do with her looking like a wimp. She looked away and felt a rush of cold wind pass by her again, she turned her head upward to the black clouded sky. She felt a chill run down her spine. 'A storm is coming.' Her instincts told her. She knew she must get to safety and build a quick den, her long legs and razor sharp claws really helped during times like this, during the fatal blizzards and hurricanes. She faced back to Regret, she listened to her words and agreed silently with a nod of her head. "Yes I did, a storm is coming, i can feel it. I should be going to build a safety den." Dakota paused for a moment, to think about Regret's safety, on one paw, she'd be smart to make a den for herself, and quickly. On the other paw, what would Regret do? "Um, Regret? Would you like to come with me? Cus, I can build a den really fast, and the blizzard is getting closer as we speak."

More snowflakes began to fall as they spoke, "Sure, I can help build us shelter" Regret had to speak louder now for Dakota to hear her over the roaring winds. Regret trailed through the mountain, looking for a good spot to start their den. If they built it too close to a tree it could fall on top of them. Regret found a small clearing in the mountain forest, towards the middle of the clearing was a big rock. "Should we make our den by that rock?" Regret asked Dakota while pointing her paw towards the rock. Snowflakes were falling slowly by the dozen, soon they would fall faster. Regret's eyes were getting watery from the white wet flakes. "We need to hurry so we're not stuck out here when the bad portion of the storm hits!" Regret was almost yelling now. The wind whipped through the trees, rushing all warmth out of the land. Regret's pelt was sticking up in weird directions from the disturbance of wind. Regret moved towards the rock, shielding her self from some of the wind. Regret stuck her nose up in the air once again and howled, if there was any wolves nearby they would here it, Regret wanted to know if her and Dakota were the only wolves up here today.

The heavy winds beat down on the mountainside, Dakota couldn't hear much Regret said, but she managed to catch a few words and understood what she said. She nodded to Regret and walked beside her, the two trudged through the thick snow and the blizzard started picking up. As they got to the small clear area, Dakota spotted the rock that Regret pointed out, "Okay, lets do it." She answered, her tail was almost being carried up by the fierce screaming winds as they made their way to the big rock. Dakota could hardly hear the crashing of the trees at this time, she did her best to listen to Regret's muffled words. But she did hear Regret's loud long howl, and realized why she was howling, as Regret did that, Dakota got the den ready. She wasn't the best with her ears, but she was really good at making dens, so she made it really quickly. She barked at Regret and told her to get in the den as she did so and waited for her. She tried to leave room for her in the cramped rock.

THERE IS NO WAY• there is someone like me •WHO IS MESSED UP AND CRAZY As Dakota made their den, Regret didn't hesitate to help. With every lash of Regret's claws the hole grew bigger and bigger. Soon enough the den was dug and Dakota was on the verge of climbing into it. Regret squeezed in next to Dakota, not able to here Dakota until she was inside of it. The den was a pretty small area but it was a great provider of warmth. "I wonder how long the storm will last!" Regret said.
It was easy for Regret to hear while in the Den. She had a fear in her stomach that told her this storm would last longer than she would like. Regret didn't know much else to do other than talk. "You said you were a loner right? So you travel all over the world eh?" Regret thought for a moment. Regret knew that you could only travel so far before you hit the ocean, but what was beyond there? How could a wolf travel across? Regret was sure it was possible... But then again, wolves would probably die before finding dry land. Regret remembered something her mother told her more than anything; 'anything is possible if you put your head to it' Regret snickered, if that was true then Regret would be able to travel to the moon right? Nah... Not possible

Dakota squinted as a few snowflakes landed in her yellow eyes, she could hardly see anything through the driving snow, all she could see was white. She turned her head to Regret as she spoke, "I don't know, I've been through a bunch of em', they've all lasted quite a while!" Dakota yelled, she could barley hear herself as she spoke. She was glad she hadn't given in to a messy fight when they first met, then she wouldn't have the warm comfort of her new friend by her side that made a smile appear on her muzzle. Dakota turned back to the small opening of the den where she got a good view of the blizzard, her ears went back a bit as she laid her head down on her paws, still watching the storm as occasional snowflakes reached inside the little den. Her ears flicked as Regret spoke again, it made a her a bit angry that this female was so talkative but she hung in there. "Yeah, I'm a loner, I've traveled plenty of places, my goal is to get to Glacier National Park. Wolves are protected from hunting there." Dakota laid her head on her paws again, still facing Regret.
